1) What can I do to learn about Privacy at Ceridian?
Ceridian's official Privacy policy and Web Statement are available online. If you have specific questions we have also provided means to ask direct questions through the website or you can contact us through the contact information we have provided online for Ceridian's Privacy Office.
2) What Personal Information does Ceridian collect?
Ceridian collects only the information required to produce the services it has been contracted for. This information will typically include information such as a persons name, contact information, Social Insurance number, and banking information. Any information collected by Ceridian is deemed to be Personally Identifiable Information where the appropriate safeguards will be used to protect it.
3) Who does Ceridian disclose my information to?
Ceridian discloses information to a number of third parties that have been contracted as part of providing the services we have been contracted for. In addition to these third parties Ceridian will also supply information to the appropriate Government agencies for the purposes of meeting contractual obligations.
4) What does Ceridian do to protect the information it holds?
Ceridian is committed to protecting our client's information and has a broad based security program to achieve this. Highlights include a comprehensive security awareness program, ongoing assessments, physical safeguards, technical safeguards and access controls. All employees and non-employees that have access to our systems are expected to comply with Ceridian policies and face disciplinary actions if they fail to do so.
5) What can I do to protect my information?
Ceridian customers are advised that they are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate controls in place around who can access applications at their site. The protection of their user id and password to access Ceridian systems is the responsibility of our customers. Some tips to protect your password are:
- Never divulge your user id and password to anyone.
- Change your password frequently.
- Be sure to install, have running, and update virus definition for anti-virus programs on your PC.
- Have start up passwords for your computer.
- Close your browser window when you have finished your work.
- Be aware of security issues such as phishing scams that may attempt to trick you into giving up your user id and password.
6) Does Ceridian sell my information?
Ceridian does not sell or disclose your information with any third parties with the exception being vendors that have been contracted by Ceridian to provide the services we have been contracted to provide.
7) How often does your Privacy Policy change?
Ceridian reviews the Privacy Policy on an annual basis and updates if appropriate.
