Meet Ceridian Canada's Executive team:

Dave MacKay
President

A pioneer in blending e-business strategies with traditional business models, Dave is also a visionary, with a keen eye on the forces that are changing the business world today, and the strategies being deployed to shape the future.

Dave has extensive experience in senior leadership roles in the technology industry. He joined Ceridian over 15 years ago and has contributed significantly to the company's growth and success, especially in the areas of strategic planning, product development, business process outsourcing, and sales and marketing.

Dave led the creation of Ceridian's Powerpay Web, the first 100% Internet-based payroll service in Canada. Today, Powerpay Web is the Internet payroll service of choice and is used by more than 10,000 Canadian companies.

As president, Dave is focused on strengthening Ceridian's presence and leadership as a provider of best-practice, integrated HR solutions that address the hire to retire needs of Canadian businesses of all sizes. Dave is also a member of the Board of Governors of the National Quality Institute.

Paul Elliott, CA
Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer for Ceridian Canada, Paul Elliott is responsible for day to day management of the company's operations across Canada. His key responsibilities include sales, service delivery and customer implementations.

Prior to his current role, Paul was the Chief Financial Officer of Ceridian Canada, and has more than 20 years' experience in a variety of senior financial roles in both the public practice and industry. His experience includes particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, as well as IT outsourcing.

Paul holds a bachelor's degree (honours) in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Canadian Chartered Accountant.

He is based in Ceridian's Mississauga office (in the Greater Toronto Area). Married with three children, his personal interests include hockey, running and fly-fishing.

John Cardella
Executive Vice-President & Chief People Officer

John Cardella is a senior human resources professional with more than 20 years of experience. His responsibilities as Executive Vice-President & Chief People Officer for Ceridian Canada include managing all aspects of the company's HR function in Canada, the United Kingdom and International. He is responsible for creating and implementing leading-edge management techniques and HR practices that reinforce Ceridian's reputation as one of the best companies to work for in Canada.

Prior to joining Ceridian, John was Vice-President of Human Resources for Compaq Canada, and Managing Director, H.R. for SHL Systemhouse. John has an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational psychology from York University in Toronto. He is a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario and has attained Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) certification. He is also a member of the Conference Board of Canada and has most recently become appointed to the Global Business and Economic Roundtable on Addiction and Mental Health. John also sits on the editorial board of Employee Benefit News Canada.

Cande Dandelé,
Executive Vice-President,
Marketing & Relationship Management

Cande Dandelé, Executive Vice-President, Marketing & Relationship Management, is responsible for Ceridian Marketing, Public Relations, and Customer Relationship Management activities in Canada. This role includes overseeing the development and implementation of Ceridian Canada's strategic marketing plan, as well as the delivery of employee communications, media relations and corporate social responsibility plans to ensure alignment with strategy and growth objectives. She also has responsibility for Ceridian's customer relationship management strategies and activities.

Bringing more than 20 years of professional experience to the position, Cande has expertise in areas including systems development and integration, account management, product marketing and project management. Cande joined the Ceridian Canada executive team in 2001 and has held a number of portfolios, most recently as Executive Vice-President, Marketing & Product Management.

Cande attended the University of Guelph and studied marketing at Queen's Executive Development Centre, as well as systems dynamics at the Sloan School of Management. She is actively involved with the Canadian Council of Aboriginal Businesses and supports several other not-for-profit organizations across Canada.

Scott Kitching,
Executive Vice-President & Chief Legal Counsel

As Chief Legal Counsel for Ceridian since 2003, Scott is responsible for the management of all legal affairs for the company, including the negotiation of customer, third-party supplier and vendor contracts; litigation management; corporate governance and employment law.

Appointed Executive Vice-President in July 2005, Scott has assumed an active role in Ceridian's overall management, applying the skills acquired in his professional capacity to the business affairs and strategic direction of the company. Previously with one of Winnipeg's largest law firms, Scott's primary area of practice was Business Law, with an emphasis on banking and insolvency work, sales and acquisitions of businesses and commercial property, and commercial leasing. He received his LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in 1994, and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1995.

For six years, Scott served on the executive of the Business Law Subsection of the Manitoba Bar Association, and is currently a sessional instructor in the area of Business Law at the University of Manitoba.

Sandy Lovell,
Executive Vice-President,
Business Technology

Sandy Lovell has more than 20 years' experience with Ceridian Canada, during which he has held a variety of operational, general management and executive roles. In his current role as Executive Vice-President, Business Technology, Sandy oversees the technological development and delivery of Ceridian's products and solutions, including programming, application development and product support. Sandy is also responsible for the management and maintenance of all internal IT solutions including Ceridian Canada's production centres, as well as relationship oversight and contract management with Ceridian's major vendors and outsourcing suppliers.

As the Executive responsible for Ceridian Canada's outsourcing and offshoring initiatives, Sandy was instrumental in the negotiation and implementation of the organization's successful outsourcing of payroll package printing and delivery, as well as application development offshoring in Mauritius and India. Previous roles with the organization include Executive Vice-President & Managing Director, Corporate Business; Vice-President, Operations & IT, and Vice-President & General Manager for Western Canada.

Based out of the Mississauga office, Sandy received his Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University in Ottawa.

Suzy Hester, CA
Executive Vice-President,
Finance

As Executive Vice President, Finance for Ceridian Canada, Suzy Hester provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization. The EVP Finance supervises the finance unit and is the chief financial spokesperson for the organization. The EVP Finance reports directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and directly assists the leaders of the business on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, and forecasting.

Prior to her current role, Suzy was the VP and Controller of Ceridian Canada, and has more than 15 years' experience in senior financial roles in both the public practice and industry.

Suzy holds a Master of Accountancy degree from University of Manitoba as well as a Bachelor of Commerce (honours) Degree from University of Manitoba and is a Canadian Chartered Accountant.

She is based in Ceridian's Winnipeg office. Married with two children, her personal interests include running, reading and cottage life.
