Guidelines for Donations & Sponsorships
Charitable Areas of Focus
Ceridian believes that all Canadians, no matter their background, religion or lifestyle, should have access to basic necessities including food, a healthy environment, a safe neighbourhood, and quality education. Understanding that we can make the most impact through targeted efforts, we have placed a special focus on the following areas, as we strive to make a grassroots-level difference within our local communities:
Well-being of Children & Youth
Ceridian strives to create a brighter future for the next generation by placing a special focus on charitable organizations dedicated to making the lives of children and youth better, fuller, and more meaningful. Through both monetary and volunteer donations, we aim to support non-exclusionary local agencies dedicated to providing nourishment, shelter, life skills or comfort to at-risk children and youth.
Health & Wellness
Ceridian understands that optimal physical health and mental well-being contribute to a strong, thriving society. Agencies that work to promote a state of wellness through preventative education, support, and treatments may also benefit from our philanthropic efforts.
Safety, Shelter & Emergency
Ceridian supports charitable organizations that provide secure environments to women and children who are the victims of abuse, enabling them to heal and receive the practical help they need to begin rebuilding their lives. In addition, Ceridian supports shelters that provide a safe haven for those in need, and disaster relief services to aid victims of natural disasters, helping them regain control of their lives.
Evaluation Criteria
Ceridian's corporate donations will support:
- Organizations registered as charitable institutions with Revenue Canada (tax receipts).
- Organizations whose activities enhance the quality of life or society at large in the areas of health and wellness.
- Organizations whose membership and services are open to all, regardless of race, religion, colour, creed, gender, sexual orientation or national origin.
- Organizations providing community services in locations where Ceridian has a major presence.
- Organizations whose mission and goals are compatible with Ceridian’s Charitable Areas of Focus.
Ceridian's corporate donations will NOT support:
- Individuals, including awards, sponsorships (i.e., walk-a-thons) or any form of personal financial assistance.
- Endowments of any kind or multi-year pledges.
- Price discounts or in-kind donations on our products or services to non-profits.
- Organizations not registered as charitable institutions.
- Conferences, banquets, seminars, trips, tours, etc. for groups or individuals.
- Capital campaigns, including renovation or new construction.
- Religious programs or political organizations or campaigns.
- Fraternal, athletic and social clubs or programs.
Donations Application Process & Timing
- Before submitting any inquiry, please be sure to review our Evaluation Criteria.
- All applications will be reviewed and responded to within 4 – 6 weeks.
- Please note that because of the volume of requests that we receive, we can no longer accept donations requests by telephone, fax, mail or email.
- In order to be considered for a donation, applicants must complete and submit the online Donations Request Form.
