Education and Experience:
- For our EAP Counsellor roles, you will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology or Counselling as well as some relevant volunteer or paid experience. These positions are ideal for new graduates looking to build their careers.
- For EAP Triage Consultants, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology or Counselling as well as customer-based work experience.
- For Research, or other Customer-focused roles, you will have a post-secondary education and relevant work experience.

Counsellor Affiliates Network
If a client situation is assessed as being appropriate for short-term solution intervention through the Employee Assistance Program, then they are provided the option of meeting with a clinician in their area face-to-face. This program is available to all employees and immediate family members who are eligible under an organization's employee benefits plan. Our service is designed to help individuals, couples and families find the support and resources they need. Our clients' employees can request counselling for a wide range of concerns pertaining but not limited to life, family, money or work situations.
Clinicians who wish to join our network must meet the following requirements:
- Valid liability insurance of at least 1 million dollars.
- Demonstrated proof of registration in governing body or professional association.
- Able to provide 3 references.
- If you can demonstrate that you have been cleared through Health Canada or Corrections Canada, no further check will be required.
- A valid police clearance will be required at minimum every five years.
- You must be comfortable using email as a primary source of communication.
- You will need your own office location in either a building or home office.
- You must also have a confidential 24/7 voicemail for referrals to be left and be able to accept or decline a case within 24 hours.
- If a case is accepted, you must be willing to offer appointments and services to clients within 1-3 business days of receiving the client referral.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work or a related clinical field.
- 5 years post-Master's experience.
- EAP experience is preferred but not required.
In order to join our network, clinicians must meet our requirements, submit needed documentation, participate in our screening and orientation processes and agree to adhere to our polices and protocols.
Training Affiliates Network
Our Affiliate Trainers deliver in-person, telephonic and web-based training sessions and workshops to Ceridian LifeWorks' corporate clients. They manage the learning environment, providing positive reinforcement and motivational techniques, adapting instructional methods and strategies to accommodate individual and group differences as well as special needs of learners.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent training, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional techniques.
- Customer-focused.
- Results-oriented.
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of experience working in a corporate training environment.
- Education at a diploma or degree level in a relevant field:
- Education
- Counselling/Psychology
- Social Work
- Human Resources
- Knowledge of the EAP and employee effectiveness industry.
Assets:
- Subject matter expertise in areas such as stress management, resilience, wellness, management training, leadership.
- Ability to travel.
- Ownership of a personal laptop.
- Bilingual (French).
