Corporate Social Responsibility
At Ceridian, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is as simple as it sounds – it means that we account for all areas of business life and act in an ethical, responsible manner. We recognize the value of social responsibility and the importance of integrity as employees, as a business, and as members of our respective communities.
Charitable Donations & Volunteerism
We have always believed in the importance of "giving where we're living." Whether through corporate pledges, support of employee-initiated fundraising, encouragement of staff volunteerism, or knowledge-sharing through our participation in industry events, Ceridian is proud to contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
On a national level, Ceridian is a supporter of The United Way, Starlight Children's Foundation Canada, and The Salvation Army. In addition, we support favourite charities of our employees by allowing volunteering during work hours and disbursing funds to organizations nominated by our employees in their respective communities.
Environmental Stewardship
Ceridian is committed to conducting our business in a manner that delivers products and services that are environmentally responsible, while providing a healthy and safe work environment for our employees. In 2008, Ceridian launched its grassroots-level "Green Guardian" Program, an environmental stewardship initiative run by volunteer co‑ordinators at each location to support and lead "going green" efforts. To date, the Green Guardians have successfully implemented simple but effective improvements that have significantly reduced our environmental footprint.
